ונעמן רב חילא דמלכא דארם הוה גבר רב קדם רבוניה ונסיב אפין ארי על ידיה עבד יי נצחנא לאנש ארם וגברא הוה גבר חילא והוא לקי בסגירתא:
bsgyrtha lqy whwa khyla gbr hwh wgbra arm lansh ntskhna yy ebd ydyh el ary apyn wnsyb rbwnyh qdm rb gbr hwh darm dmlka khyla rb wnemn
Now Naaman, captain of the army of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honorable, because by him Yahweh had given victory to Syria; he was also a mighty man of valor, but he was a leper.

ואנש ארם נפקו במשרין ושבו מארעא דישראל עולמתא זערתא והות משמשא קדם אתת נעמן:
nemn athth qdm mshmsha whwth zertha ewlmtha dyshral marea wshbw bmshryn npqw arm wansh
The Syrians had gone out in bands, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little girl, and she waited on Naaman’s wife.

ואמרת למרתה טובי רבוני אם יזיל לקדם נביא די בשמרון בכן יסי יתיה מסגירותיה:
msgyrwthyh ythyh ysy bkn bshmrwn dy nbya lqdm yzyl am rbwny Twby lmrthh wamrth
She said to her mistress, “I wish that my lord were with the prophet who is in Samaria! Then he would heal him of his leprosy.”

ואתא וחוי לרבוניה למימר כדין וכדין מללת עולמתא די מארעא דישראל:
dyshral marea dy ewlmtha mllth wkdyn kdyn lmymr lrbwnyh wkhwy watha
Someone went in and told his lord, saying, “The girl who is from the land of Israel said this.”

ואמר מלכא דארם איתא אזיל ואשדר אגרתא לות מלכא דישראל ואזל ונסיב בידיה עסר ככרין דכסף ושתא אלפין דינרין דדהב ועסרא אצטלון דלבושא:
dlbwsha atsTlwn wesra ddhb dynryn alpyn wshtha dksp kkryn esr bydyh wnsyb wazl dyshral mlka lwth agrtha washdr azyl aytha darm mlka wamr
The king of Syria said, “Go now, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel.” He departed, and took with him ten talents of silver, six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of clothing.

ואיתי אגרתא למלכא דישראל למימר וכן כתיב בה וכען כמיתי אגרתא הדא לותך הא שדרית לך ית נעמן עבדי ותסיניה מסגירותיה:
msgyrwthyh wthsynyh ebdy nemn yth lk shdryth ha lwthk hda agrtha kmythy wken bh kthyb wkn lmymr dyshral lmlka agrtha waythy
He brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, “Now when this letter has come to you, behold, I have sent Naaman my servant to you, that you may heal him of his leprosy.”

והוה כד קרא מלכא דישראל ית אגרתא ובזע ית לבושוהי ואמר הצרוך אית בי מן קדם יי למקטל ולאחאה ארי דין שלח לי לאסאה גברא מסגירותיה ארי ברם דעו כען וחזו ארי תוסקפא דין בעי לאתגראה בי:
by lathgrah bey dyn thwsqpa ary wkhzw ken dew brm ary msgyrwthyh gbra lasah ly shlkh dyn ary wlakhah lmqTl yy qdm mn by ayth htsrwk wamr lbwshwhy yth wbze agrtha yth dyshral mlka qra kd whwh
When the king of Israel had read the letter, he tore his clothes and said, “Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man sends to me to heal a man of his leprosy? But please consider and see how he seeks a quarrel against me.”

והוה כד שמע אלישע נביא דיי ארי בזע מלכא דישראל ית לבושוהי ושלח לות מלכא למימר למא בזעתא לבושך ייתי כען לותי וידע דאית נביא בישראל:
byshral nbya dayth wyde lwthy ken yythy lbwshk bzetha lma lmymr mlka lwth wshlkh lbwshwhy yth dyshral mlka bze ary dyy nbya alyshe shme kd whwh
It was so, when Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, “Why have you torn your clothes? Let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.”

ואתא נעמן בסוסוהי וברתיכוהי וקם בתרע ביתא דאלישע:
dalyshe bytha bthre wqm wbrthykwhy bswswhy nemn watha
So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariots, and stood at the door of the house of Elisha.

ושלח לותיה אלישע אזגדא למימר אזיל וטבול שבע זמנין בירדנא ויתוב בסרך לך ואתסי:
wathsy lk bsrk wythwb byrdna zmnyn shbe wTbwl azyl lmymr azgda alyshe lwthyh wshlkh
Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, “Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall come again to you, and you shall be clean.”

ורגיז נעמן ואזל ואמר הא הויתי אמר דלותי יפוק מפק ויקום ויצלי בשמא דיי אלהיה וירים ידיה על אתר בית מחתא ותתסי סגירותא:
sgyrwtha wththsy mkhtha byth athr el ydyh wyrym alhyh dyy bshma wytsly wyqwm mpq ypwq dlwthy amr hwythy ha wamr wazl nemn wrgyz
But Naaman was angry, and went away and said, “Behold, I thought, ‘He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of Yahweh his God, and wave his hand over the place, and heal the leper.’

הלא טבין אמנא ופרפר נהרי דמשק מכל מי ארעא דישראל הלא אטבול בהון ואתסי ואתפני ואזל ברגז:
brgz wazl wathpny wathsy bhwn aTbwl hla dyshral area my mkl dmshq nhry wprpr amna Tbyn hla
Aren’t Abanah and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Couldn’t I wash in them and be clean?” So he turned and went away in a rage.

וקריבו עבדוהי ומלילו עמיה ואמרו מרי אלו פתגמא רבא נביא מליל עמך הלא תעביד ואף אלהין דאמר לך טבול ואתסי:
wathsy Tbwl lk damr alhyn wap thebyd hla emk mlyl nbya rba pthgma alw mry wamrw emyh wmlylw ebdwhy wqrybw
His servants came near and spoke to him, and said, “My father, if the prophet had asked you do some great thing, wouldn’t you have done it? How much rather then, when he says to you, ‘Wash, and be clean’?”

ונחת וטבל בירדנא שבע זמנין כפתגמא נביא דיי ותב בסריה כבסר יניק זעיר ואתסי:
wathsy zeyr ynyq kbsr bsryh wthb dyy nbya kpthgma zmnyn shbe byrdna wTbl wnkhth
Then went he down and dipped himself seven times in the Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God; and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.

ותב לות נביא דיי הוא וכל משריתיה ואתא וקם קדמוהי ואמר הא כען ידעית ארי לית אלהא קים בכל ארעא אלהין בישראל וכען קבל כען תקרובתא מן עבדך:
ebdk mn thqrwbtha ken qbl wken byshral alhyn area bkl qym alha lyth ary ydeyth ken ha wamr qdmwhy wqm watha mshrythyh wkl hwa dyy nbya lwth wthb
He returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him; and he said, “See now, I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel. Now therefore, please take a gift from your servant.”

ואמר קים הוא יי די משמשנא קדמוהי אם אקבל ואתקיף ביה לקבלא ולא אבא:
aba wla lqbla byh wathqyp aqbl am qdmwhy mshmshna dy yy hwa qym wamr
But he said, “As Yahweh lives, before whom I stand, I will receive none.” He urged him to take it; but he refused.

ואמר נעמן ולא יתיהיב כען לעבדך טעון זוג כודנוון מעפר אדמתא ארי לא יעבד עוד עבדך עלתא ודבח לטעות עממיא אלהין לשמא דיי:
dyy lshma alhyn emmya lTewth wdbkh eltha ebdk ewd yebd la ary admtha mepr kwdnwwn zwg Tewn lebdk ken ythyhyb wla nemn wamr
Naaman said, “If not, then, please let two mules’ load of earth be given to your servant; for your servant will from now on offer neither burnt offering nor sacrifice to other gods, but to Yahweh.

לפתגמא הדין ישבוק יי לעבדך במיעל רבוני לבית רמון למסגד תמן והוא סמיך על ידי ואסגוד בית רמון במסגדי בית רמון ישבוק יי לעבדך בפתגמא הדין:
hdyn bpthgma lebdk yy yshbwq rmwn byth bmsgdy rmwn byth wasgwd ydy el smyk whwa thmn lmsgd rmwn lbyth rbwny bmyel lebdk yy yshbwq hdyn lpthgma
In this thing may Yahweh pardon your servant: when my master goes into the house of Rimmon to worship there, and he leans on my hand, and I bow myself in the house of Rimmon. When I bow myself in the house of Rimmon, may Yahweh pardon your servant in this thing.”

ואמר ליה אזיל לשלם ואזל מלותיה כרוב ארעא:
area krwb mlwthyh wazl lshlm azyl lyh wamr
He said to him, “Go in peace.” So he departed from him a little way.
20
ואמר גיחזי תלמידא דאלישע נביא דיי הא מנע רבוני ית נעמן ארמאה הדין מלקבלא מניה ית דאיתי קים הוא יי אלהין ארהוט בתרוהי ואסב מניה מדעם:
mdem mnyh wasb bthrwhy arhwT alhyn yy hwa qym daythy yth mnyh mlqbla hdyn armah nemn yth rbwny mne ha dyy nbya dalyshe thlmyda gykhzy wamr
But Gehazi the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, “Behold, my master has spared this Naaman the Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought. As Yahweh lives, I will run after him, and take something from him.”

ורדף גיחזי בתר נעמן וחזא נעמן גברא רהיט בתרוהי ואתרכין מן רתיכא לקדמותיה ואמר השלם:
hshlm wamr lqdmwthyh rthyka mn wathrkyn bthrwhy rhyT gbra nemn wkhza nemn bthr gykhzy wrdp
So Gehazi followed after Naaman. When Naaman saw one running after him, he came down from the chariot to meet him, and said, “Is all well?”

ואמר שלם רבוני שלחני למימר הא כען דין אתו לותי תרין עולימין מטורא דבית אפרים מתלמידי נבייא הב כען להון ככרא דכספא ותרין אצטלון דלבושא:
dlbwsha atsTlwn wthryn dkspa kkra lhwn ken hb nbyya mthlmydy aprym dbyth mTwra ewlymyn thryn lwthy athw dyn ken ha lmymr shlkhny rbwny shlm wamr
He said, “All is well. My master has sent me, saying, ‘Behold, even now two young men of the sons of the prophets have come to me from the hill country of Ephraim. Please give them a talent of silver and two changes of clothing.’”

ואמר נעמן שרי סב תרתין ככרין ואתקיף ביה וצר תרתין ככרין דכסף בתרין פלדסין ותרין אצטלון דלבושין ויהב לתרין עולימוהי ונסיבו קדמוהי:
qdmwhy wnsybw ewlymwhy lthryn wyhb dlbwshyn atsTlwn wthryn pldsyn bthryn dksp kkryn thrthyn wtsr byh wathqyp kkryn thrthyn sb shry nemn wamr
Naaman said, “Be pleased to take two talents.” He urged him, and bound two talents of silver in two bags, with two changes of clothing, and laid them on two of his servants; and they carried them before him.

ועל לאתר כסי ונסיב מידהון ופקיד בביתא ושלח ית גבריא ואזלו:
wazlw gbrya yth wshlkh bbytha wpqyd mydhwn wnsyb ksy lathr wel
When he came to the hill, he took them from their hand, and stored them in the house. Then he let the men go, and they departed.

והוא אתא וקם קדם רבוניה ואמר ליה אלישע מנן את אתי גיחזי ואמר לא אזל עבדך לכא ולכא:
wlka lka ebdk azl la wamr gykhzy athy ath mnn alyshe lyh wamr rbwnyh qdm wqm atha whwa
But he went in, and stood before his master. Elisha said to him, “Where did you come from, Gehazi?” He said, “Your servant went nowhere.”

ואמר ליה ברוח נבואה אתחוא לי כד אתהפיך גברא מעל רתיכיה לקדמותך השעה היא לך דנסיבתא כספא ונסיבתא לבושיא וחשבתא בלבך למקני זיתין וכרמין ועאן ותורין ועבדין ואמהן:
wamhn webdyn wthwryn wean wkrmyn zythyn lmqny blbk wkhshbtha lbwshya wnsybtha kspa dnsybtha lk hya hsheh lqdmwthk rthykyh mel gbra athhpyk kd ly athkhwa nbwah brwkh lyh wamr
He said to him, “Didn’t my heart go with you when the man turned from his chariot to meet you? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and olive groves and vineyards, and sheep and cattle, and male servants and female servants?
